Deadline to Apply for Student Scholarships

Since 2004, the Southeastern Louisiana Home Builders Association has been proud to support local students through our Student Scholarship Program. Thanks to the generosity of our members and the success of annual fundraisers such as the Golf & Crawfish Scramble and Family Bowling Tournament, we have awarded over $16,950 to deserving high school and college students.

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for our two 2026 SLHBA scholarships:

Louis Daigle Trade Scholarship

This scholarship is open to any student who is enrolling or currently enrolled in a building-related industry at a Louisiana-based university, community college, or trade/vocational school.

• Award: Up to $500 toward tuition and/or books

• Residency Requirement: Assumption, Lafourche, St. Martin, St. Mary, or Terrebonne Parish

• Open to both high school and college students

SLHBA Member Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a child, grandchild, adopted child, or stepchild of an active SLHBA member who is enrolling or currently enrolled in a university.

• Major may be in any field of study

• Students in a building-related curriculum may be given first consideration

• Award: Up to $500 toward tuition and/or books
